Heavy-duty damping for floors, wheel arches and the bulkhead
The 3mm VibroFiltr mat adds more damping mass where most road and tyre noise comes in: the floor, the wheel arches and the bulkhead. A self-adhesive butyl-rubber mat with an aluminium foil face that stiffens and protects it.

It can also go on doors, the roof and the boot lid in high-output car-audio builds.
On a corrugated van floor you don’t usually need a deadening mat, because the ribs already stiffen the panel.
How to install
- Degrease the metal with panel thinners or an alcohol-based cleaner. Don’t use white spirit.
- Cut to shape. Wear gloves, because the foil edges are sharp.
- Peel off the backing, press on and roll firmly with a metal roller until fully bonded.
- Fit at +16 to +18 °C or warmer. Warm the mat if it’s cold.
- Cover at least 50% of each panel.
