It can be used anywhere in the vehicle. Sound deadening mats are layer 1: they go straight onto bare metal. Add ST-Mat or acoustic felt on top for the best result. See Soundproofing Basics.
How to install
- Degrease the panel with panel thinners or an alcohol-based cleaner. Don’t use white spirit.
- Measure and cut lengths from the roll. Cut on a board, because the foil edges are sharp.
- Peel the backing a little at a time, press on and roll firmly with a metal roller.
- Fit at +16 to +18 °C or warmer.
- Cover at least 50% of each panel.
